Mercedes-Benz (W121), year 1957. Colour silver metallic (MB colour code DB180) with a red leather interior and grey carpet. Black mohair hood and a red hood-cover. Mercedes-Benz ‘Datenkarte’ is present. This fabulous 190 SL has ‘matching numbers’ and ‘matching colours’ which means that the car features the factory original components (body, engine, gearbox) and interior/exterior colours as when it left the factory brand new. This stunningly beautiful Mercedes 190 SL was fully and ‘body-off’ restored by a Mercedes 190 SL specialist in the Netherlands in the years 2015 -2017. This fine 190 SL is in perfect concours condition! An extensive photo reportage and invoices of the restoration are present. Overhauled (amongst others): engine, (cylinder head also modified for lead-free petrol), gearbox, carburettors (original Solex), brakes including the brake servo, the full suspension and all the dashboard instruments (gauges & clock). The original bright parts were chromed brand new, all suspension parts were sand blasted and coated black. Everything was restored, overhauled and/or renewed including the wiring loom, windscreen and the roll-up windows! The body was restored from the bare metal and it was given a perfect glass-like paint system. Since completion of the restoration the car has driven 300 test kilometres. This 190 SL drives perfectly! This is a TOP example in concours condition!
