Mercedes-Benz 190SL Year of production 1957. Colour Black (MB colour code DB040 ) with a red leather interior and red carpet. Black mohair hood and a red hood-cover. Mercedes-Benz ‘Datenkarte’ is present. This fabulous 190 SL has ‘matching numbers’ and ‘matching colours’ which means that the car features the factory original components (body, engine, gearbox) and interior/exterior colours as when it left the factory brand new. This stunningly beautiful Mercedes 190 SL was fully and ‘body-off’ restored by a Mercedes 190 SL specialist in the Netherlands in the years 2015 -2017. The name of the company is CLASSIC CARS VENLO which is specialist in restoring 190SL and 300SL. This fine 190 SL is in perfect concours condition! An extensive photo reportage and invoices of the restoration are present. Overhauled (amongst others): engine, (cylinder head also modified for lead-free petrol), gearbox, carburettors (original Solex), brakes including the brake servo, the full suspension and all the dashboard instruments (gauges & clock). The original bright parts were chromed brand new, all suspension parts were sand blasted and coated black. Everything was restored, overhauled and/or renewed including the wiring loom, windscreen and the roll-up windows! The body was restored from the bare metal and it was given a perfect glass-like paint system. Since completion of the restoration the car has driven 44 test kilometres. This 190 SL drives perfectly! This is a TOP example in concours condition! A great change for investments.
